Might try and get some sleep. Totally exhausted, might even be at that over-tired stage possibly. Think I have spent most of my time in a vehicle since Friday's ... mega trip to the Gold Coast, then drove back home today. This was my itinerary -
Friday - drive to Bris/GC on the inland highway which brought me out near Ipswich. Took most of the day and arrived at Mum's 3pm visited for a few hours, then down to Fitzy's at Waterford to have dinner with all my daughters at 5.30pm, then drive down to the GC to Tamara's place.
Saturday - Out shopping early, browsing prom dresses and we found a beautiful one in this little boutique at Helensvale. Got it on layby for November :D Then back to Tamara's for a short rest. Then back up to Mum's to pick her up and we all met up at my sister and niece's birthdays (50th and 18th party). Partied hard (no drinking as I was driving) then dropped Mum off at 11pm and back to Tamara's again about midnight.
Sunday - No sleep-in the massive fire alarm went off about 5.30am at the big centre across the road. Get ready and then off for Tamara's 30th birthday lunch at the Longboard near Q1 (totally recommend, meals were awesome). A few hours spent with wonderful food, and company. Wasn't driving, so even had a few wines :D
Monday - Yep, you guessed it, another day of driving back home. Before we headed off, met up with son Bryce and had a nice breakfast at a cafe - very nice and will visit it again. Made the biggest mistake of taking the Bruce Highway. Road has gotten worse plus major roadworks, plus drivers who are totally rude. Finally arrived about 4pm. mauve color prom gowns

So weighing up the choice between taking the inland highways or using the Bruce highway... No contest, will not be taking the Bruce Highway again unless I have to. Much more pleasant drive with scenery, road conditions and more polite drivers on the inland route. :D
